Early life and education
Frank Big Bear was born on July 8, , in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
He was raised on the White Earth Reservation at Pine Point and is a member of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe, White Earth Band.[1] In , at the age of 16, Big Bear moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, to start his career as an artist and to work as a cab driver in order to support his family.[4][5][6][7] During this time he attended North High School and went on to study Studio Arts at the University of Minneso
