The lessons incorporate teacher modeling with a read aloud text and then scaffolds this learning through student book clubs. Students will also learn and practice valuable cooperative learning and discussion skills while working within a book club.

Students will study the life of a well-known person by reading a biography, creating a timeline, describing how the the events are connected and apply their learning by reflecting upon what life lessons can be learned from their life.

This is a comprehensive unit and includes all of the materials that you will need (except the biography books!)!!
